Plus X Innovation was building a national network of innovation hubs to support hardware and product startups — an underserved segment that needs physical prototyping facilities, not just desk space. They needed help designing the accelerator programme that would sit at the heart of the Central Research Laboratory (CRL), originally on the former EMI R&D campus in Hayes, West London.
